Cranswick

Back-Up has had an established relationship with the Cranswick Group delivering NVQs across various sites. We are currently working with their ‘state of the art’ plant at Preston, near Hull.

Back-Up looks forward to working with Cranswick at their new sausage factory in Hull.

Martin Gibb, Group Training Manager, reflecting on the NVQs at their Thornaby site:

"Although staff were initially very reluctant, almost suspicious of the NVQ, it actually turned out to be a very successful programme and all staff achieved a Level 1 or 2. At the beginning of the programme, Heidi gave group discussions, allaying any fears or concerns relating to the award.

"We benefited immensely from two of the mandatory units, Health & Safety and Hygiene, which gave staff the opportunity to contribute and indeed improve some of the systems we had in place."
